TRAINING DESIGNED FOR PREGNANCY, BIRTH & BEYOND
Pregnancy and postpartum bring unique physical demands, and your training should reflect them. Our approach goes beyond simply modifying traditional exercises. With specialized PROnatal Fitness training, we focus on preparing your body for the demands of pregnancy and birth, then supporting a thoughtful return to strength and movement postpartum.
We train for marathons and other major physical events — so why wouldn’t we train for one of the most physically demanding events a woman can experience? Prenatal training is designed to help you prepare for labor and birth with purpose, building strength, endurance, breath awareness, core function, and pelvic floor coordination along the way.

PRENATAL TRAINING: PREPARE FOR BIRTH
Pregnancy isn't a time to simply maintain or "take it easy." It's an opportunity to train intentionally for the physical demands ahead. Our progressive three-phase approach evolves with you throughout pregnancy.
|
1. FOUNDATION
Build a strong foundation through proper breathing mechanics, core function, pelvic floor coordination, mobility, and movement patterns that support your changing body. |
2. STRENGTH
Build strength and endurance for the increasing demands of pregnancy and motherhood. This phase can include Labor Intensity Interval Training to help prepare both physically and mentally for the work of labor. |
3. BIRTH PREP
As birth approaches, training shifts toward movements, positions, breathwork, mobility, and strength designed to help you feel more prepared for labor and delivery. |
POSTNATAL TRAINING: REBUILD & RETURN
Postpartum recovery is different for every woman. Our progressive three-phase approach focuses on rebuilding from the inside out, restoring core and pelvic floor function before gradually progressing back to strength, performance, and everyday movement.
|
1. FOUNDATION
Reconnect with your core and pelvic floor while rebuilding proper breathing mechanics, stability, mobility, and movement patterns. Training also considers common postpartum concerns such as diastasis recti. |
2. STRENGTH
Progressively rebuild full-body strength while continuing to strengthen the core and pelvic floor. Training is individualized to your recovery, your body, and the physical demands of everyday motherhood. |
3. PERFORMANCE
Build on your foundation and strength to confidently return to higher-level exercise, recreational activities, or whatever being strong and active looks like for you. |

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
|
When can I start prenatal personal training?
Training can begin at different points during pregnancy depending on your individual circumstances, activity history, and healthcare provider's recommendations. Your training will be tailored to your current stage of pregnancy and adjusted as your body and needs change. When can I begin postnatal personal training?
Every postpartum recovery is different. We recommend following your healthcare provider's guidance for returning to exercise. Once you're ready, training begins with rebuilding foundational movement, breathing, core, and pelvic floor function before progressing to more demanding exercise. |
Can I do prenatal training if I wasn't exercising before pregnancy?
Yes. You don't need to have been an athlete or regular gym-goer before pregnancy to benefit from guided movement and strength training. Your program will begin at an appropriate level for you and progress based on your individual needs. What if I have diastasis recti or pelvic floor concerns?
Your training can be adapted to account for common postpartum considerations, including diastasis recti and pelvic floor function. When something falls outside a personal trainer's scope, we'll encourage you to work with the appropriate healthcare professional as part of your recovery. |
